I've been going to marathons for a long time, since my dad ran his first one when I was only twelve! My mom, my siblings, and I were always there to cheer him on. Now that Josh runs too, my kids also get to experience the joy of going to a new city to cheer on their daddy as he completes a huge physical challenge.

There are a group of guys in our area who run together on Sunday mornings at Gypsy Hill Park. Many of them often pick a marathon to run together each year, and this year they chose the Baltimore Marathon. Two of the guys in the group had their best personal times this year, and my dad was one of them (3:33:36)! Baltimore was a fun city to explore; congratulations to the Gypsy Hill runners!!
